How it works

Set up once. Then shape each device around the way you use it.

FamilySlate keeps the household together while letting every connected device have its own view.

Create your household

The guided setup takes you through the initial FamilySlate configuration.

Choose household defaults

Select the modules you want available when new devices join your FamilySlate.

Pair another device

Use the private pairing method from Settings to connect phones, tablets and computers.

Personalise each device

Choose which modules appear on that specific screen without changing the rest of the household.

Made for shared screens

Keep the family dashboard useful, not cluttered.

A tablet can stay focused on the calendar, birthdays, countdowns and photos. A phone can keep shopping and to-do close at hand. A computer can make setup and editing easier.

All of those devices can still belong to the same FamilySlate household.

Using FamilySlate like an app

On supported devices, FamilySlate can be added to the home screen so it opens like a dedicated app rather than a normal browser tab.

On iPhone or iPad

Open FamilySlate in Safari, use the Share menu and choose Add to Home Screen.

On desktop

FamilySlate can be used directly in a browser. For setup-heavy tasks, a larger screen can be especially convenient.

Beta note: setup and pairing may continue to change while we're testing. The in-app Help & Troubleshooting page should always be treated as the current guide.
